We are a working hotel and campsite based in Blanefield, Scotland, where Vanlifers can stay for free. It’s part of our Trail Angel ethos – a term borrowed from those who provide lodgings for travellers on the Appalachian Trail.
Vanlifers can enjoy free access to:

We also have a cafe, evening meals, and electric hook-up available for all visitors.

Whether you’re stopping over for a night or a few days, we have a space for your van, along with free facilities and breakfast.

We have plenty of spaces to ‘coorie doon’ – indoor and out. Our clubhouse and cafe are open all day and evening.

Vanlifers come and stay with us from all over the globe – a great chance to meet with like minded people…
What’s the catch?
There isn’t one! Your stay is subsidised by income we generate through paying guests on our campsite. Find us, stay, and enjoy!
We offer a place to stay, dedicated for those full-time vanlifers (or people who have no option but to live in their car) who are looking for a safe, friendly and beautiful location to stay at for free.
We are funded by vacation vanners and campers who kindly make a contribution by staying on our nearby campsite. This allows us to provide FREE facilities and services to full-time vanlifers.
For vanlifers, by vanlifers
We are vanlifers ourselves and have built a whole community here. Our site takes its inspiration from Vanlife Village in Nevada USA and operates along the lines of Walmart’s charitable/social enterprise for vanlifers.

Most of the time we also have mechanics on site to help you with any van problems. Vacation vanners help us to make all this possible and we are so very grateful that you all continue to stay here and support our charitable/social enterprise.
